Here's a short demo video and notation for a Charlie Parker ii V I lick.

My latest book is out now! Led Zeppelin was the inspiration for me to pick up guitar, so this was a especially meaningful project. I edited transcriptions to make them the most accurate and up-to-date ever and did the sound-alike guitar work and video lessons for many of the songs in this book/DVD. Available from Alfred Music.

Led Zeppelin: Electric Sessions

This is a lick from a live version of “Sultans of Swing” I just transcribed. It’s pretty challenging to bring up to tempo, but I'll explain how to employ Knopfler’s fingerstyle technique for best results in this brief video lesson.

Enjoy! Please let me know if you have questions or comments.

I just got an endorsement from Xotics, which is such a great pedal company. Here is a brief demo of their EP Booster. You can get up 20db of clean boost and it really fattens your sound. This has become an "always on" pedal for me. A true must have. I run it low, at 3db of boost here:

This is a solo arrangement of "Deep River," the classic spiritual. The guitar is the Taylor Baritone in a modified Nashville tuning. Strings are Elixir nanowebs.

Here's a demo of one of the Clapton solos from Hideaway. It's not a detailed lesson per se, more of a reminder to a student of certain concepts we went over in a live lesson.
The guitar is a mid '80s Les Paul Standard strung with Elixir Nanoweb 9's. Effects are the Liquid Lead for gain, WET for reverb into a Headstrong Lil King amp.

The new Stereo WET Reverb pedal has arrived. Check out these demos I did of some ambient, lush settings:
